About the practice

Welcome to Karen March Counselling & Therapy based in the Fleurieu region of South Australia.

The practice began in 2005 and offers Individual, Couples, Family and Adolescent counselling. Appointments are available on Mondays and Thursdays 9.00am - 6.00pm and Saturdays 9:00am - 12:00pm at the Aldinga Medical Surgery, .

I am a fully qualified counsellor with a Masters degree in Social Science (Counselling) and am a Professional Level member of the Australian Counselling Association, a national professional peak body for the registration of qualified counselling practitioners. I am also registered with the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I have also undertaken further training in Narrative Therapy with the Dulwich Centre in Adelaide and am a trained facilitator in Meditation and Mindfulness.

As an adjunct to my private practice, I am also a Senior Consultant to Converge International, one of the largest national providers of Employee Assistance Programs and counselling to the workplace in Australia.

While a large number of clients see me for Personal counselling, a significant number of couples seek counselling for relationship issues. I have a flexible approach and employ a range of therapeutic modalities dependant upon the unique needs of each client.

Regardless of what type of therapy is utilised, consultations are focused on providing a safe space for the client to talk about their concerns, their feelings and their fears. This practice is a Client-centred service which means as a client, you will play an active role in the direction of your counselling process.

You will be consulted during each session for your feedback and your input will be a vital component of your counselling. All clients are treated in a respectful, caring and non-judgemental way in order to foster a natural and easy connection between counsellor and client.

If you are thinking of seeking counselling, it means that you acknowledge you have an issue that needs to be addressed. Picking up the phone and making contact with a counselling professional is the first major step toward making a difference in your life.

"Every individual has a place to fill in the world, and is important, in some respect, whether he chooses to be or not."
